Want to see a new kind of sword in the game? You can model it, define it’s stats, and then craft it in game. #Will my drm free stonehearth multiplayer with steam modsWhy get so upset that someone asked if they could get the DRM-free version instead? It is not like they asked for a torrent/pirated version. We LOVE mods and want to make it as easy as possible to author and share mods. So I don't see the issue with limited sharing of a game is anyway.Īlso the game dev released the DRM-free version, they choose to do that. I don't know any family that buys 3 copies of a game so all 3 people in the house can play unless the absolutely have to. I would go to friends houses and play their games. I shared my PS2 and GC games with my brother and sister. However, everyone I ever met, that plays games, shares those games. I know in your narrow little world where everyone has access to the same stuff it is hard to understand why people might find this stuff useful but their are other reasons besides handing out free copies of games to want a DRM-free version. Not saying I never buy stuff with DRM it, or that is a major deal that a game has DRM but it is nice to not have to deal with it sometimes. So to me DRM-free is a selling point because I know I can bring these things back home with me and not waste the expensive data on my families plans. Sometimes when I'm out in those areas where my family still lives it is nice to be able to put my games on a flash drive and bring them with me. I have a few games that I bought that I cannot play because of losing CD keys. I have lived in small towns where high speed internet connections are not available and where the only way to get internet is with bad wifi that has high data costs. #Will my drm free stonehearth multiplayer with steam PcNobody is playing games on a PC that can't connect to the internet, get real (connect at least enough to download, install, and then play offline if the connection is severed). Nobody needs an installer for a game when they can download it anytime and nobody that's actually playing games and posting on the internet is going to be without a connection enough for this to really be an issue - if you're that far out in the back woods you're not going to be playing video games, you're going to be hunting and gathering like a frickin' cave man. What is wrong with you people?īecause the only valid reason for needing DRM free is to distribute? None of the nonsense you wrote really flies. Also - just read again license agreement - games and software, bought in steam, comes as "endless subscribment" and valve can stop it without reasons (ban your account, for example)) - I think, lot of ppl will select 1st way, cuz its more logical. #Will my drm free stonehearth multiplayer with steam crackedIf there are difference between "download cracked version and use it how I wanna without spend cents" and "pay dollars to obtain icon in my web library, I can lost sometimes (for example - account steals. #Will my drm free stonehearth multiplayer with steam installCuz of this, drm actually hurts only buyers, who spend their moneys and wanna use product their got, but needs to download and install smthing else, launch it every time, register account. Just open any torrent tracker and find "games" or "software" subdirectory.ĭrm actually ISNT way to stop pirating, cuz its like endless war between sword and shield - every drm someone made, other guys cracked after time. That's why the audio CD industry is alive and thriving. Originally posted by Sickjin:Yes, because DRM has historically stopped pirating.
